Revolver Upstairs

Accessibility: there is a set of stairs to enter the venue. Not wheelchair accessible. Bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible.
Food: Beautiful Thai food from Colonel Tan Thai Restaurant available as well as a full bar.
Public transport: Prahran train station (Sandringham line) or tram 78 through Chapel St.
Parking: Some street parking on Chapel St and around.

Directions to Revolver Upstairs:

  • Go to 229 Chapel St and you’ll see the sign for Colonel Tan.
  • There is a long set of stairs up to the main room and restaurant.
  • The bandroom is located to the left.
  • In case you’d like food or drinks the bar and restaurant are located to the right.

Laneway Learning Central

Accessibility: Classroom is wheelchair accessible. The main entrance has a small lip and the lift doorway is a bit narrow, but both have been tested. Toilets are up or down one small set of stairs.
Food: Soft drinks available for purchase.
Public transport: Closest train station is Flinders Street. Tram to Flinders Street/Swanston Street #1, 3, 3A, 5, 6, 8, 16, 35, 64, 67, 70, 72, 75.
Parking: Wilson Parking on Flinders Street/Russell Street.

Directions to Laneway Learning Central:

  1. Look for the Subway sandwich shop on Swanston Street, at the corner with Flinders Lane.
  2. Use the main entrance to the Nicholas Building, on the left-hand side of Subway, on Swanston Street:
    • The entrance looks like an arcade.
    • After 7:30pm the entrance will have a glass door across it.
    • One of our volunteers will be at the entrance between 7:45-8:15pm to let people in for 8pm classes (standing at left-hand side).
  3. Go to the lifts on the left hand side and go to level 3:
    • After 7:30pm the lifts require fob activation – our volunteer will activate the lift for you, after you have met him at the front entrance between 7:45-8:15pm.
    • There are also stairs to the left of the lifts.
  4. Exit the lift, turn right and follow the corridor around until you reach Laneway Learning Central, room 314-315.

  5. Turn left at the bottom of the stairs (upstairs is the bathroom only)
  6. Enter the cafe through the second door.

  2. Enter the glass door on the left-hand side
  3. Go up a few steps to the lift at the back and go to the third floor (or use the stairs)
  4. Enter Madame Brussels, turn left and walk towards the bar
  5. Walk past the bar, down a short corridor on the right-hand side
  6. Enter the parlour, on the left-hand side just before the kitchen.

  4. Exit the lift, turn right and follow the corridor around until you reach the Gallery, room 816. There will be a small table with flowers outside the door.

Please note that the Gallery can get quite cold in the winter.
