What’s it all about?

This class will kick start you into the wonderful world of quilting
By the time you finish you will know your fat quarters from a Bargello and many of the obscure acronyms in between – all you will need to bring is your ability to hand sew, and a good sense of humour.

What will we cover?

This class will provide you with the absolute basics involved in quilting.  We will cover stitching,  the block patterns used and a concise history of where and why quilting exists.

After you have completed this Laneway learning class, you will be prepared and welcome to come to advanced classes being offered once a month to expand your knowledge and make a quilt with sampler blocks that are being produced  as part of the ‘Pimp My Stitch’ program run by  Harold & Maude.

Robyn BuntingWho will be teaching?

Robyn Bunting is the owner of ‘Harold and Maude‘ on level 2 of the Nicholas Building. She will start you on the path to creating heirlooms that combine reuse and repurpose with a history of community and skill. Completion of project, colour use and big picture coaching are all on offer – so come along and learn the basics.
