What’s it all about?

If you’re anything like most Melburnians, chances are you spend a lot more time inside — tapping away at a computer and hunched over your phone — than you do basking in the great outdoors. But if you want to de-stress and give your brain a break, consider letting nature help you.
Research reveals that environments can increase or reduce our stress, which in turn impacts our bodies and brain. What you are seeing, hearing, experiencing at any moment is changing not only your mood, but how your nervous, endocrine, and immune systems are working.

What will we cover?

In this class you will learn how nature and spending time outdoors has been scientifically proven to reduce stress levels and restore mind and body. We will also reflect on nature’s many lessons and talk about ways you can welcome these qualities and approaches in to your day to day urban life.
