What’s it all about?

Join us to explore the indigenous plant life in Northcote, with a lovely evening stroll along the Merri Creek.

We’ll have fun activities based around plants and a touch of storytelling, you’ll experience the best way to learn about plants: get acquainted and interact with them while releasing your inner botanist.

What will we cover?

Walk, meet and talk with your locals – plants of course. That is a time-honoured way to get to know your (plant) community.

Stroll from plant to plant and be introduced with stories of their history, clues on spotting characteristics, trivia, life cycle, bush food as well as their cultural use.

Who will be teaching?

Pascale connected to her Inner Botany in early childhood. She kept that connection alive ‘potting around with plants’ as well as growing a deep love of the Australian bush. She is an Indigenous Flora and Fauna Association (IFFA) member and taught plant skills to conservation students for over 10 years. She doesn’t know all of Melbourne’s plants (yet) but continues to enjoy the journey.
