What’s it about?

Would you like to have more ideas? Better ideas? More creative ideas? Learn practical techniques to get those creative ideas flowing at this fun, interactive workshop.

This beginner’s class will give you the tools to kick start your ideas and help you be more creative every day. Whether you’re a practising creative, or someone who feels a yearning but doesn’t know where to start, this is for you.

What will we cover?

In this workshop we will explore practical techniques for generating ideas. We will draw on creativity research, as well as principles from laughter yoga and theatre improvisation.

  • What is creativity?
  • Saying yes to ideas (not just the good ones).
  • The role of curiosity, imagination and play.
  • Drawing creative inspiration from everyday activities from the mundane to the frustrating.

Along the way we’ll have lots of fun experimenting with tools and techniques to ignite your creativity and get those ideas flowing.

The methods explored in the workshop are widely applicable, so there’s something in this workshop for everyone, whatever your creative interest.

Who will be teaching?

After having all the creativity educated out of her, Louise has spent the past five years researching and rejuvenating her creativity. In her alternate reality, imaginary life, Louise would be the person paid to concoct off-beat names for paint colours: sunset shadow, desert drizzle, cow’s tongue…
