What’s it all about?

FIMO clay is synonymous with childhood art and craft but it can actually be shaped into fantastic pieces of art and jewellery. You will be guided through the process to create unique, wearable pieces suited to your sense of style. Working with your hands is a very therapeutic process and it is incredibly satisfying to unleash your creativity and make something out of nothing.

What will we cover?

In this class, you will be presented with basic mould styling techniques, however it is quite an open learning space with a fluid technique of teaching. You will have the opportunity to create 2-3 pieces of jewellery out of polymer clay to take home. You may select from earrings, a brooch, a ring, bracelet or necklace.

Who will be teaching?

Anya Trybala is the founder of local jewellery label Shy Piece. She discovered a passion for creating jewellery as a means of therapy but has since discovered she has a knack for creating beautiful pieces and has since started selling at local craft markets and online. She has a background in graphic design, community arts and music and is currently finishing her debut record under her musical guise Ninoosh, performing shows around Melbourne. Check them out on Instagram @shypiece and @ninooshmusic.
