What will we cover?

This is class in part hands-on, part talk, and you will go away with your very own signature sauce!

We will learn how to:

  • Work with, and be inspired by leftovers
  • Cook with no recipe, a new style of cooking
  • Make a delicious sauce.

Still thinking those carrots at the back of the fridge are bound for the compost? Join us and we’ll show you otherwise.

Who will be teaching?

Queen of the leftovers and friend of your fridge, Jessie Alice is a woman wielding kitchen shears for a cause.

She has been passionate about food for as long as she can remember. An experienced gastronomist and baker, her dinner parties are urban legend. Working the busy floors of cafes in Germany, Amsterdam and Australia, Jessie was moved to find solutions for ailing responsibility for food waste and security across the globe.

Leftover Lovers re-defines food waste. Dishing out community dinners, panel discussions, and food waste boxes to people’s doorsteps, Jessie and her Lovers transform the humble act of cooking – too often seen as a passive and menial household chore – into an engaging and empowering act of love.
