What’s it all about?

Ever got excited in a shop and accidentally purchased something that is completely out of place in your home? Have a knack of picking furniture up off the side of the street that needs some help reaching its potential? Did you move in with someone and know your house looks like a mish-mash of junk but not in that cool, curated way? Maybe you have a beautiful piece of wood furniture that just needs some love.

Come along and learn how to paint furniture with a homemade chalk paint. We will cover the tips and tricks to turn your existing timber furniture into a unique item that you can proudly display in your home.

What will we cover?

We will be learning:

  • How to prepare a project – cleaning and sanding.
  • How to make a cost effective chalk paint from things you have around the house.
  • How to seal and protect your project.
  • How to dispose of excess paint.

During the class we will be practising our furniture restoration skills on a timber sample so please don’t wear your best clothes.
