What’s it all about?

Bitcoin is an open source cryptocurrency that can be bought, sold and traded for goods. Computerised mathematical algorithms, matched with the right software, make virtual coins.

Some say Bitcoin is a currency, others say it’s a commodity… one thing it is for sure is controversial. Many economists are scratching their heads trying to peg it into a box, while Silicon Valley is investing millions of dollars into Bitcoin startups. It’s global, fast, easy to use and for some it’s only a matter of time before we’ll all be using it.

What will we cover?

This class is an ‘ask us anything’ session about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

What is the Bitcoin structure? Why does it exist? What the differences are between the thousands of coins that currently exist? Instead of trying to unload all the info about Bitcoin in a structured format, this class time is best spent on YOU! So, the class will be guided by your questions to make sure that you get all your answers in a comfortable environment. There are no silly questions and no prior knowledge is required.

With this approach we’ve had inspiring conversations. We’ve delved into what might be possible if people had control of their finances – the world could be a very different place.

In the class you will receive enough Bitcoin for a coffee in St Kilda so download the Bitcoin wallet app (btc.com) and get ready to start trading!
