What’s it all about?

Want to look stylish and unique when you hit the grocery store or the market? Hate having cupboards and drawers overflowing with plastic shopping bags? Want to learn a useful skill and reduce your carbon footprint at the same time. This is the class for you!

We are going to upcycle materials to create an awesome, reusable shopping bag. You’ll learn to sew, give new life to old things and tread more lightly upon the Earth, by creating your own upcycled shopping bag.

Join us in a quest to raise awareness about our impact on the environment and help reduce our waste, one plastic bag at a time.

What will we cover?

In this hands-on workshop we will be learning a few life skills to turn an old pillow case into an awesome grocery bag.

We will start with a short meditation to get focused and then get going by learning some basic sewing skills and needlework.

You’ll then use these to give an old pillowcase new life by turning it into a reusable shopping bag. How cool is that?! Bring your own vintage (or non-vintage pillowcase), all other materials will be provided.

Who will be teaching?
