What’s it all about?

Well made and matured compost is an essential ingredient of healthy soil. When our soils are full of nutrients, aerated and happy we are able to grow strong vegetables. Often people struggle to get their heads around what to do with kitchen scraps, and unless made properly organic waste can start to turn into a smelly mess!

What will we cover?

In this class we will cover the basic steps involved in making a hot compost, participants will get the chance to get their hands dirty and witness a hot compost being made on site. We will also discuss alternatives for those in urban and small spaces such as Bokashi composting and worm farms. Participants will receive handmade instructions and further resources to take home.
