What’s it all about?

Imagine that a speaker’s words and body language differ. Which do you tend to trust more? Truth is that listeners are more likely to believe the non-verbal communication of the speaker, not his/her words. Learning to interpret someone’s body language can help you decide what they might be thinking or pick up on unspoken issues, problems or negative feelings.

You can also use it to strengthen your verbal messages or relationships. Body language doesn’t lie! Small changes in your facial expressions or gestures can really make a difference. Come along and learn to communicate better.

What will we cover?

Initially, we will take some time to understand the basics of ‘Body language’. This will involve a quick session of facial and body exercises, to warm up those muscles from the Melbourne cold weather. Then, we will analyse the different types of expressions and their meanings.

‘Micro expression’ is the other of non-verbal communication and can be a great tool to leverage with ‘Body language’. Finally, we will put this all into action through Rachel’s demonstration and fun activities together.
