What’s it all about?

If you’ve ever thought that feminism was old hat… if you’ve ever thought that it was only the domain of prudish academics and angry protesters… if you’ve ever thought that feminism was something that you couldn’t believe in… then this is the class for you!

Everyday Feminism will take an honest, upfront, and fun look at the movement of feminism; and transform it into something that will strengthen and empower all of us. This is the feminism that Germaine Greer wouldn’t want you to know about!

What will we cover?

This class will break down the misconceptions and stereotypes around feminism, and present it as a new and fresh concept that has a place in modern society, now more than ever. From a peek into the history of feminism, to its application in the world today; we will take a second look at things we overlook, and challenge the views and beliefs that we unwittingly take for granted. This is a modern and real look at feminism – a feminism that supports women who wear business suits, baking aprons, or leather catsuits!

Who will be teaching?

Kate Iselin is a writer and designer from Melbourne. She is a social media addict, running and fitness enthusiast, and proud purveyor of anything pink.
