What’s it all about?
Many fun adventures and memories happen in the bustling laneways of Melbourne, the crowded trams, the lovely river bank of the Yarra. In this class, we will explore what we love most about Melbourne, using our ideas to create a short sequential comic that focuses on the places we love, miss and are wanting to explore again.

What will we cover?
In this class, we will:
- Introduce sequential storytelling
- Unpack the pace and arrangement of mini comics
- Understand the visual language of a singular comic page
- Create a mini comic from your ideas around the theme Melbourne city
What will you need?
- A few pieces of paper
- A pencil
- A rubber or eraser
- A fine liner/darker pen (for outlines)
Who will be teaching?
Kiki is an aspiring cartoonist who grew up reading, writing and sketching in her bedroom. She studied creative writing/film and is working to produce her first graphic novel. Kiki is passionate about the art of storytelling through sequential art.
