What’s it all about?

Ever wanted to learn practical self-defence that you can apply in the street? Ever felt too intimidated to approach a club on your own? Want to learn some techniques that will work and don’t require much strength or body mass? This practical self-defence class is for you. No testosterone throwing, no judgement, no egos.

What will we cover?

We will start with an introduction into the concepts and history of martial arts before getting to know each other and moving onto the practical side of the class including:

  • Stretching and warm up
  • Basic techniques
  • Basic Kata: arm bars, wrist rolls, throws, breakfalls
  • Sweat!
  • Cool down, breathing

It’s all about having a good knowledge base to draw from, if needed, to apply practical martial arts, being humble, fair and open-minded.

Come dressed in comfortable, loose clothing.
