What’s it all about?

If you’ve ever been to an improv show, and thought “that looks like super fun, but I could never possibly do that”, well, I’ve got news for you…you can do that!

Improv is all about using your imagination to create scenes, listen to your scene partner to acknowledge what they’ve said and responding to them.

Improv can be extremely freeing, satisfying and above all a heap of fun!

What will we cover?

Improv is about spontaneity, being brave and listening. We’ll go through some games to help unlock our inner spontaneity, learn to take risks and fail happily, and learn how to listen to our scene partners. Above all, we will have fun!

This class will give you a taste of the basics of improvisation. No theatrical or comedic experience required.

Who will be teaching?

Matt is a musical comedian and improviser, a cast member of Improv Against Humanity with a love of improvised rap (raprov). He has performed across Australia with sellout shows at Perth Fringeworld, Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He is currently completing a PhD in Translational Research at Monash University.
