What’s it all about?

Resin products are everywhere around us. From jewellery to homeowners this versatile material can be used in many applications and can achieve incredible results. Resin casting is a method of plastic casting where a mold is filled with a liquid synthetic resin, which then hardens. In this class you will learn the basics of working with resin and get hands on in creating your own piece of jewellery through a 2-part lesson.

What will we cover?

In this 2 part class you will learn the basic introduction into using resin to make a piece of jewellery. In part one you will be taught a basic set of knowledge and skills to get hands on in creating a piece of resin cuff, experimenting with colors and embedding objects of your choosing.
In part 2 you will clean, polish and finish the piece made in class 1 as well as attempt some smaller pieces with the skills you have learnt from class 1.
At the end of both class you will be able to take home a piece of your very own creation!

Who will be teaching?

JennyJenny is a gift shop owner who has been creating her own pieces of jewellery for the past 5-odd years with resin being one of her new favourite mediums to work with. Apart from jewellery making, she also has a background in interior design, merchandising and origami.
