What’s it all about?

Fly in the air as you connect with another person, getting strong and flexible without even knowing you’re working out!

No partner is required, but you can bring one along if you like!

What will we cover?

This class is a partner/team acro yoga class in which you will learn to fly in the air!

We will start with a warm up, getting our bodies and our minds ready to get upside down.

The next step will be learning some basic moves, flying both forwards and backwards and collecting some classic acro yoga positions along the way: the bird throne, folded leaf and back bird, shoulder stand and whatever the day brings. We will then create a ‘flow’, in which we will combine the movements we have learnt into a sequence.

We will finish the class with a pleasant surprise to send you home ready for a good night’s sleep

Please bring a yoga mat or a beach towel and wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in.

Who will be teaching?

Raven has been teaching dance and movement, particularly breakdance, in professional dance schools, yoga studios, PCYCs and in nice parks all around Australia. For the last 13 years he has been helping people to discover they are much more capable than they think. Raven is passionate about balancing full body expression – being strong and able – while continuing to grow in his practice of movement in sustainable ways. Yoga, Feldenkrais, Acro Yoga and Qi Gong have become a few of his favourite things.

Raven first came across Acro Yoga in his Shiatsu Training in 2011 and has taken up the practice since 2014. You can find upcoming workshops, classes and short courses over at The Nourishing Nomad.
