What’s it all about?

Take a midday Brain Break! Taking a creative break in the middle of  your work day will lift your spirits and re-invigorate your focus and concentration – it’s a bit like a computer refresh but for your mind!

Collage is the art of arranging existing images in combination with other elements (wallpaper or text such as newspaper) to create a composite work of art. It can add depth and interest or be used to tell a story. It has been used for hundreds of years and made a resurgence in the early 20th Century when Braque & Picasso helped make it a distinctive part of modern art.

What will we cover?

In this class we will learn to create a beautiful and unique collage from magazine images, your own photos and coloured paper. Learn how to compose an image and select visuals to create a narrative or just simply play with colour and shape! You will each create a unique collage in your own home and later if you like you can frame it.  selected images and ideas along too to save time.

What will you need?

Papers (white and colours), glue (stick?) coloured markers &/or pencils, scissors, magazines & photo’s you can cut up? – feel free to select images and ideas before the class starts to save time.
