What’s it all about?

Most of us, as children, used to love drawing: dinosaurs, fire trucks, princesses… Nothing was beyond our skills.

And yet, somewhere between the age of 7 and adulthood, we become self-conscious.
We convince ourselves that we lack the skills, the imagination, or the creativity to keep drawing.

Sounds like you? Then join this class to reconnect with your lost drawing skills!

What will we cover?

This class is designed to help everybody regain confidence in their drawing skills while (most importantly) having fun.

First, we will forget about the rules. No proportions or perspectives in this class. Instead, we will reframe what a “good drawing” might mean.

Then, we will step out of our comfort zone with a few drawing exercises. Have you ever tried to draw with your eyes closed? Or without lifting your pen? You might be surprised by the result

What will you need?

  • Paper, pens, colour pencils etc.

Who will be teaching?

At age four, Amandine Thomas announced to a bewildered family that she would become a children’s book illustrator, and grew up writing short stories that she illustrated and compiled in crooked, clumsily stapled booklets.

Fast forward to present-day, and not much has changed: now an award-winning illustrator, she writes and illustrates children’s book, and contributes to various publications from one side of the globe to the other.
