What’s it all about?

Bring electronics into everyday fashion: play with cutting-edge technologies and learn sewing electronics, programming, and circuit design.

This workshop is suitable for all ages who are interested in fashion and enjoy crafting with like-minded people!

What will we cover?

In this workshop we will learn about the application of wearable technology in real life. We will be practising how to use conductive thread, LEDs and basic circuit design to light up a piece of clothing or make a glowing art pin.

You do not need any prior knowledge of electronics, programming or fashion, although a passion for sewing is a bonus.

Once you get the hang of sewing electronics, your imagination is the limit and you can make all sorts of smart accessories, light-up fashion items, interactive toys and DIY projects that you can’t find anywhere else in the world.

Who will be teaching?

creativemornings_mel-9907Dannie Wei is a creative science/technology educator who is passionate about combining science, technology and art. She loves making science and technology more accessible for everyone, and especially for beginners, so that everyone can use it to express their creative voice.
