Anyone Can Be Creative! with Jacci - Laneway Learning Melbourne

What’s it all about?

You’ve always wanted to embrace your creative side? But never quite gone the distance? Do you consider yourself “uncreative” and worry you have become a corporate zombie? Learn how to break the creative blocks and unleash your creativity for any imaginative pursuit or adventure. In this class will will build your survival kit for creative adventures using the zombie apocalypse as a metaphor. Can you get more creative than that?

What we will cover?

Firstly, we’ll learn about the practical stuff you need to build into your life to create time and space for creating. A fun interactive myth-busting session on the realities of a creative life.

Secondly, we’ll delve into a zombie creative confidence circle. This exercise will stop you running around in circles chasing other people’s brains and unleash your own! You need to be able to hold a pen and draw a simple stick figure – too easy!

Finally the Zombie apocalypse, crunch time. This is where we commit to your new creative missions. You’ll learn how to not give up at the first hurdle and launch your plan for total new world order! You’ll learn a couple of improv comedy skills in this game too.

Who will be teaching?

Jacci was once a slave to a day job as an anthropologist (which they still have) and craving a creative life. For the last four years they have built a comedy production business that fulfills creative passions and does good in the world. They are living proof a creative life doesn’t have to be all or nothing thing – you can have it all! Jacci is about to publish their first book and opened Melbourne Fringe 2019 with a kick ass showcase that will be a tri-annual event at Trades Hall. Jacci is an engaging educator whose also taught anthropology as a university lecturer.
