Bollywood is the name given to the Hindi film industry based in Mumbai, India. Ever wondered how all those wedding guests end up doing a synchronised dance routine with the hero and heroine in Bollywood movies? Ever wondered what you would need to survive a Bollywood dance party? Here is your chance to learn the basics.
What will we cover?
The teacher will give a demo of a short routine that will be taught to a popular Bollywood film song and proceed to teach this routine to have the group dancing like the film stars by the end. It will be very tongue-in-cheek, melodramatic and the participants will have a blast releasing their inner Bollywood star personalities.
Who will be teaching?
Marshie has been a Bollywood film buff and has been dancing since she could walk so it’s no surprise that whilst being a Chemical Engineer she created Jhoom Bollywood Dance Company to promote and celebrate Bollywood culture and colour through dance in Melbourne, Australia.
