What’s it all about?
What makes a wine? Why does wine age? And is older always better?
Learning more about wine leads to better choices in the bottle shop, and can help us understand more about ourselves.
So come and learn about both. You’ll see that wine can bring clarity, not just double-vision.
What will we cover?
In this introductory class we will learn about:
- the structure of wine
- why wines age
- what principles make a wine good (or bad).
We’ll be tasting different wines as we go.
In addition, each skill we learn will be translated back into something applicable to everyday life. The techniques we use to understand wine can aid change and build confidence that lasts far beyond the end of the bottle.
Who will be teaching?
Andy Lloyd is currently a wine buyer for Vinomofo. Previously head of wine at Vintage Cellars, he holds the WSET Diploma with Distinction and was UK Young Wine Writer of the Year in 2010. He is also a yoga and meditation teacher, life coach and reiki master.
