Facts and figures can appeal to the logical side of your audience’s brain, but sharing a story goes much further. Stories create the emotional investment and empathy necessary to build trust, support and true human connections.
Whether it’s in the classroom, at the office, or on a date, storytelling is a must-have skill. It’s the best way to leave a real impact and make meaningful connections. Through a mix of presentations and exercises, this inspiring workshop will introduce you to the fundamental aspects of storytelling. It will also help you to begin crafting your own story to use in your professional and personal lives.

During the class we will look at our own professional or personal lives for story topics. We’ll then craft those ideas into a story and learn how to tell the story for maximum impact.
By the end of the workshop you will have a story to bring into the world.
Dalit Kaplan is the founder of Storywell, an organisation that teaches purpose-oriented individuals how to tell stories. She is also a writer, theatre addict and occasional lawyer. Born and bred in Melbourne, she has studied, worked and lived in New York, Chicago, Austin, Sydney and Jerusalem. Along the way, she has accumulated an “interesting” collection of stories.
