Our how values drive us and they change over time. But how do they affect us, and how can sex and gender influence us? We are going to unpack sex and gender to understand ourselves, and the world around us.
What will we cover?
We will start with an explanation of the difference between sex and gender from a social science perspective. Then, we’ll delve into how the social construction of gender impacts our attitudes and behaviour.
Learn about the central role of our subconscious value system, plus how values change over time between men and women.
In this workshop, you are encouraged to increase your awareness of your own values. We’ll learn how values affect decisions, behaviour and our lives. Then, we’ll learn some strategies to help us achieve our goals and live a better life.
Who will be teaching?
Julie Kimber is a social scientist by trade whose life was rocked after taking a course on gender and power! It was a defining moment that answered so many life questions. This includes the way she was treated in the workplace and by her ex-husband, as a female starting out in the male-dominated world of agriculture!
