What’s it all about?

Using simple macramé knotting techniques, you can learn to make a crystal pouch. Then, you can turn any crystal into a beautiful macramé crystal necklace!

Macramé is the art of tying knots to create different patterns that can be used for a huge variety of crafts. Once you learn the basics of macramé, you can use your imagination to make all sorts of creative patterns. This will allow you to turn crystals and other ornaments into jewellery or decorations.

What will we cover?

In this class we will learn how to make a basic interchangeable macramé crystal necklace using waxed cotton cord. This means that you will learn to make a crystal pouch that opens and closes so that you can put a new crystal in any time you like! These pouches are great because you can choose a crystal to wear based on the occasion or what you are drawn to on a particular day!

In this class you will be able to choose a crystal from a range of tumbled crystals provided. Using a few simple macramé steps you will create your own pouch for your first crystal to hang from. At the end of the class you will have a unique piece of jewellery to take or wear home, and you can swap a crystal from your own collection in any time you like!
