What’s it all about?

This class is an easy and comprehensive starting guide to embroidery.

When you see embroidery work, you may look at it and think ‘too hard for me!’. But, while there are a few skills to learn, it is by no means an impossible task. Once you have the correct tools and basic stitches you can let your imagination run wild.

Come and discover a new passion or rekindle your love for the beautiful art of embroidery. With these basic skills you can make anything from patches to hand designed tote bags, t-shirts, pillow cases…

No prior experience or artistic talent required!

What will we cover?

In this beginner’s embroidery class we will cover:

  • What materials and tools you need for embroidery and where to get them from.
  • How to set up your hoop and draw a design.
  • Two basic stitches.
  • How to finish your hoop.

You’ll get to take home the materials that you need to keep stitching and happily adorn all your fabrics!

Who will be teaching?
