What’s it all about?

Do you often hear a voice that tells you, you can’t do something? Do you listen to something inside of you that says, you aren’t good enough? That’s your ego, and we’ve all got one.

So, how can we overcome our inner pessimist if we don’t even know why it’s there? Unfortunately we can’t, and our identity becomes completely wrapped up in the negativity.

Our ego ends up running amuck, and we inevitably create suffering for ourselves that is actually avoidable. But fear not, this workshop will help you build self-awareness and we’ll do some major surgery on your ego, so you control it and it doesn’t control you (no prior medical experience necessary). Because remember, you are not your ego.

What we will cover?

Happiness, positivity and optimism are shoved in our faces, but that’s not actually the way our brains are wired. We’re built to constantly anticipate danger for our own survival. But, when we’re not dodging lions and fighting off rival tribes, we’re still in flight or fight mode which is detrimental to our health and wellbeing.

We’ll learn the who, what, when, where, why & how of the ego, so you’re the one in the driver’s seat, not Debbie Down Dr EGO.

  • What is the ego? Why do we have one? What purpose does it serve?
  • The negativity bias
  • Our fight or flight system vs rest and relax
