What’s it all about?

Want to get in touch with nature, reduce your carbon footprint and create a creative masterpiece at the same time? Then come and learn about the beautiful, ephemeral world of eco art and how to use 100% natural materials to express yourself creatively.

What will we cover?

We’ll go on a journey through some of the best eco art that the world has to offer, focussing on sculptural and installation based pieces in urban, rural and totally wild settings. You’ll then have the chance to make your own mini eco masterpiece from a selection of found objects and head home with a ton of inspiration for bigger projects that you can take out into the world yourself and use to leave your own creative mark.

Who will be teaching?

Michele Grimston is a multidisciplinary artist and arts facilitator attracted to the whimsy and tiny beauties that fill this crazy world. She’s currently studying her masters in Community Cultural Development, and her work has a strong focus on arts and wellbeing. Her art has been exhibited in Melbourne, Canberra and Canada, most recently at her solo show at Conduit Arts. Michele is adamant about having fun with her work – and making sure others do too. You can see some of her art online.
