What’s it all about?
“Welsh is the same as English, isn’t it?” Absolutely not! “But, Wales is in England, right?” False.
Do you want to be able to greet your Welsh friends in their native language? Do you want to visit Wales and be able to speak in their mother tongue and have some prior knowledge of the culture and history? Or are you intrigued about a language that has existed since the 7th century?
Then this is the class for you!
What will we cover?
We’ll be learning a bit about Wales and having a simple Welsh introduction, including:
- General history of Wales and Welsh,
- Pronunciation of the extra letters in the alphabet,
- Greetings,
- Introductions,
- Useful phrases and vocabulary.

Who will be teaching?
Ceri is a native Welsh speaker, and has been living in Melbourne for the last 2 years. She loves Wales and everything Welsh, and would love to share the language with others.
